High Temperature Resistant Kapton Tape - 50 mm / 33 m

Kapton (Polyimide) tape is an electrically insulating heat resistant tape capable of withstanding extremely high temperatures that has multiple applications for 3D printing:

Kapton tape is very well suited for fastening heating elements. Kapton tape can be used for fastening heating wire to the heater block of a HotEnd. Kapton is also often used to tape the temperature sensor to the print head/extruder.

Print surface

Kapton tape makes a good print surface for printing ABS. Apply thin layers of Kapton tape directly to the surface of the fireproof borosilicate glass plate on your Heated Bed. For ABS to stick to Kapton, the Kapton needs to be hot (temperatures between 80-130 °C). We also recommend to apply some 'ABS Juice' on the Kapton tape when the Heated Bed has reached temperature.
